Competencies Required for Graduation

Patient-Based Competencies

Below, listed by department, are the patient-based competencies (with their axiUm "X-codes") required for graduation. X-codes (eg: X4910) are used to document and report the competencies that you have completed in axiUm just as D-codes (eg: D4910) document and report the procedures that you do in clinic. The X-codes must be planned and approved on the patient before the competency can be challenged.

Click on each competency for more information on the competencies in that department, including the threshold experiences needed before the competency can be challenged:

Case-Based Competencies

Below, listed by department, are the case-based (or non-patient related) competencies that are required for graduation. Most of these competencies are completed during the course of your education, however, some of them require you to plan an X-code on your simulated axiUm patient and complete the competency when you are able to before graduation.
